Heart Soul Hatha is about life's journey - a wonderful path that has led us all here, together. We are all interconnected, not only to each other and to this earth, but to ourself as well - body, mind and spirit. As we take steps towards reuniting our own selves we begin to feel the connectiveness to all life. It is in this unity that we prosper as a whole. It is the aim of Heart Soul Hatha to grow the connection within and without. Through connecting body, mind and spirit we can stay attuned to what is needed to continue to blossom as a human body on this earth and as an everlasting soul. By growing the connection and understanding within we can learn to better connect with those around us and the earth that sustains us.
I am dedicated to my personal growth, not just as a teacher, but as a student. I completed my 200-hour yoga teacher training in June 2009 at The Spirit of Yoga (
www.thespiritofyoga.com). Through my training, I have studied a variety of yoga styles, including Ashtanga, Baptiste (Power), Iyengar, Kripalu and Forrest. I blend aspects of these styles into a unique yoga class focused on building strength, increasing flexibility, calming the mind, looking within and enabling you to push past your edges.
The great thing about yoga is that there is always a new edge to push past and an ever deepening into the posture. I am excited to share with you the experience of being present, both on and off the mat, and going deep, not just going strong, but letting go and really sinking in to all the wonderfulness that can be found within yourself.
Yoga is a healing art. It enables us to strengthen and heal not only our bodies, but our mind and soul as well. However, sometimes it is hard to find the strength to make our way onto the mat to face ourselves and our issues, or we just need an extra helping hand. Reiki helps to heal body, mind and soul when the self struggles to find the strength. I am a Usui Reiki Master, certified by Joe Notario (
www.bluesunreiki.com) as well as a Shamballa Reiki Master, certified by Marie Mulgrew at Celestial Connections Holistic Center (
